Bella Coola Valley Fall Fair

Anyone joining us on our Coast Mountain Canoe Safari 5 - 15 September will be able to experience The Bella Coola Valley Fall Fair and Logger Sports 12 - 13 September. This is a classic community event reminiscent of old country fairs that have been running for years in these small and remote communities. Activities include horseshoes, ring toss and bingo, along with logger sports -- axe throwing, anyone?

At the moment we are looking at the possibility of getting a tipi that we can use throughout the summer as a fancy wilderness camp that Wild Earth guides and family ca use to rejuvenate throughout the summer http://www.tipi.com/
This could become a great way of also housing our guests on select trips. They are really great spaces and when set on a raised platform with a deck and beautiful scenery to look out at...ahhhh, there is nothing better.

Meanhwhile no exciting adventures as the last week has had the office battling the seasonal flu epidemic. There has not been much snow to speak of either so the skiing hasn't been epic...a few days have been feeling more like spring with sun shine and soaring temps. We do hope to get out for a hike with a camera at the end of the week - so we'll post some pictures soon!! If only we had some of the snow the UK is getting! I never thought I would say that.
